DECATUR DOWNTOWN STREETSCAPE PROJECT - PHASE V

This project is to replace old, broken sidewalks with wider sidewalks, provide street trees, break-away pedestrian lights, trash receptacles, benches and handicap accessible connections on East Trinity Place between North McDonough and East Howard Avenue and on Church Street from East Howard Avenue to East Trinity Place. The handicap accessible connections will include ADA compliant curb ramps, crosswalks and shorter street crossing distances for pedestrians. The shorter crossing distances will be accomplished by narrowing the lanes and providing bump outs at the ends of parallel parking at the intersections on Church Street.
