The Decentralized Health Care Program 2013 is a follow-up to the Decentralized Health Care Programs 2006, 2008 and 2010. Their objective was to improve access to adequate health care for the population - particularly poor and disadvantaged groups - in selected provinces in the north and in the center of the country. This project focuses regionally on two of the five provinces in the north and in the center of the country that were already supported as part of the above-mentioned projects: Nghe An and Thai Binh. The content is about improving the medical infrastructure and management in the medical facilities at regional, district and municipal levels in these provinces. The planned measures include covering the remaining need for medical equipment in selected regional and district hospitals and municipal health centers. At the same time, training in the proactive maintenance of this equipment is to be refreshed. An FC loan of EUR 6 million was granted for financing. The aim of the FC project is to increase the use of quality-assured, needs-oriented and decentralized health services in the catchment areas of the supported medical facilities by the population - including the poor and disadvantaged groups.
