Description

Description

Deepak Fertilizers and Petrochemicals Corporation Limited (DFPCL) along with its subsidiaries (“Deepak” or the “sponsor” (www.dfpcl.com) is one of India’s leading industrial chemicals and fertilizers manufacturing business groups. Smartchem Technologies Limited (“STL” or the “company” - smartchem.co.in) is a 100% subsidiary of DFPCL. The main manufacturing site of Deepak is at Taloja, Maharashtra, which currently accounts for about 90% of its current production. The company’s Taloja complex is located in Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), the industrial zone, on the outskirts of Mumbai and approximately 30 km from the port of Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT). The nearest community is approximately 2.5 km from the complex. (https://goo.gl/maps/DuEaqkqTLG22).  Majority of STL’s productions are located in Taloja complex, which include ammonia, nitric acid, ammonium nitro phosphate, ammonium nitrate, compound fertilizers (NPK), etc. Deepak’s other production units are also integrated in Taloja complex, including methanol and isopropyl alcohol (IPA).  The main intermediates/products of ammonia and methanol are synthesized from natural gas, supplied to the site by pipeline. JNPT is the main transportation port for raw materials for Taloja complex. The products are delivered to market by road and rail transport. Besides production at Taloja complex, STL also has a bentonite sulfur fertilizer plant in Panipat, in northern India, and an ammonium nitrate/nitric acid plant in Srikakulam, in southern India (https://goo.gl/maps/gqo2xpoaMbB2).
