Deepening of the twinning between Mey and Gisingen

Closed

In order to revive the Franco-German village friendship between Gisingen in Saarland and the messin district of Mey, several events are planned: the organisation of the official celebrations of the monument to the dead in Gisingen and Mey, meetings through gourmet marches in both places, a sporting event, a rally for children and the shared experience of the industrial heritage of the greater region. To raise awareness of peaceful cross-border coexistence in the Greater Region and to improve living conditions, trees will be planted in Mey and Gisingen and inaugurated at festive events. The friendship of the village is to be strengthened through these events with the involvement of all generations.
