Description

On April 8, 2011, a local company Kaidi Electric Power signed an agreement with the Dejiang County Government to build and operate a biomass power plant in Dejiang County, Guizhou Province. The plant has a capacity of 2X30MW and includes associated fertilizer plant, 1.2 million acre forestry base, and a 200,000 ton bio-petroleum/diesel factory. A project company, Dejiang Kaidi Green Power Development Co., Ltd. has been registered with a registration capital of RMB 10 million. By June 2011, RMB 5 million has been expended on front end development. The total investment of the portfolio is RMB 6 billion and particularly the investment on the power plant is RMB 300 million. The project is expected to be completed in 2012. The plant can generate 378 million KWH and 800,000 ton steam a year and save standard coal of 170,000 tons. Kaidi has a 100% stake in the project.
