Description | The Delaware River Bridge connecting the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the New Jersey Turnpike between Bucks and Burlington Counties will be replaced following a $600 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation. The project aims to reduce congestion, improve traffic flow, and enhance safety and resilience. The bridge will be widened from its current four-lane configuration, and the project team will explore different bridge designs, alignments, and long-term solutions. Preliminary design work will continue through 2027 after the alternatives analysis stage. |
