Delfin Midstream is advancing plans for its second floating LNG export vessel off the Louisiana coast. The project involves the use of floating liquefaction technology to export LNG from a deepwater port approximately 40 miles off the U.S. Gulf Coast. The vessel will have an expected production capacity of 4.4 million tonnes per annum and will use Siemens Energy liquefaction equipment. The project aims to shorten construction timelines and reduce execution risk by repeating the design of the first vessel. The vessel will operate offshore Louisiana at the Delfin Deepwater Port, connecting to existing offshore natural gas pipeline infrastructure.
