Delhi Airport Air Train Project

planned

Indira Gandhi International Airport is set to get an air train within the next 30 months. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) will fund the Rs 3,000 crore–Rs 4,000 crore project, which will connect Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, Aerocity, and cargo city for seamless travel. The service will be free for transit passengers. The 7.7-km driverless Automated People Mover (APM) system aims to improve connectivity and make the airport a world-class aviation hub. The project is expected to be completed by 2029. The train technology and operations are likely to come from international companies, while Indian firms will handle civil construction work.
