Description | Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has proposed draft modifications to its Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) policy to facilitate more flexible and extensive planned housing development near metro stations. The draft includes removal of unauthorized colonies and the Walled City from prohibited areas, reduction of minimum plot size for TOD projects to 2,000 sq metres within 500 metres of metro stations, and new rules on floor area ratio (FAR) usage for residential and commercial purposes. The TOD zones will cover areas along metro lines and RRTS routes, with provisions for underground access to metro stations. |
