Description

Description

"The WAGGGS Europe Region’s 2025 Operating Grant supports the strategic implementation of activities that empower girls and young women, strengthen Member Organisations (MOs), and foster collaboration across the region. The grant will enable the delivery of a robust action plan aligned with EU policy priorities, including youth empowerment, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and active citizenship. Key activities include tailored capacity-building programs for MOs, such as webinars for International Commissioners and the Programme Commissioners’ event, along with the dissemination of critical resources like the ""Greener Events"" toolkit and the Crisis Support Framework. The grant will also support governance initiatives, including the successful organisation of the Regional Conference, consultations on the Triennial Action Plan (2026–2028), and the implementation of the European Voluntary Contribution (EVC) model. Leadership development remains central, with targeted training and mentoring programs for young women, fostering their representation in decision-making roles. WAGGGS will ensure strong internal coordination, transparent financial management, and effective volunteer engagement through mechanisms such as safeguarding training, succession planning, and the Campfire platform. Dissemination and communication efforts will amplify the impact of activities, leveraging newsletters, digital resources, and events to engage MOs, policymakers, and the wider public. This grant ensures the continuity and sustainability of WAGGGS’s mission to empower girls and young women while promoting EU values of inclusion, equality, and sustainability, with a strong emphasis on long-term impact and regional collaboration."
