Description
Description | Delray Full Service Adult Education Center is a transformation of the former George Washington Carver High School, the first high school for Black students in Delray Beach. The project involved preserving three historic campus buildings, demolishing nine others, creating a new site plan with space for future modular classrooms and parking, and constructing a 20,000-square-foot tilt-up wall facility for adult education programs. The historic gymnasium was renovated into a GED testing lab and community center with a historic artifacts room. The project retains historical significance while delivering a modern educational and community hub. |
