Delta Wind Project

The Delta Wind project is Mississippi's first utility-scale wind farm located in Tunica County. It began operating in 2024 with a capacity of 184.5 megawatts, generating enough energy to power tens of thousands of homes annually. The project created hundreds of construction jobs, supports seven full-time local positions, and is expected to generate millions of dollars in local tax revenue for schools and public services. It features tall wind turbines nearly 700 feet high that access stronger, more consistent wind speeds at higher elevations, providing fuel-free power and helping to stabilize electricity prices over the long term.
