Description
Description | Paprika films is a French production company that focuses on large-scale documentaries and arthouse fiction films. We aim to reach a large audience and we stand by a strong environmental and societal commitment in our projects. The slate proposed by Paprika Films includes four ambitious and international projects : - POURQUOI LES FOUS ONT LES PIEDS BLEUS? : The new flagship documentary by French director Luc Jacquet (Oscar winner for March of the Penguins in 2006). A prime time animal feature documentary with spectacular images, that unveils the complexity and fascinating history ot evolution on the Galapagos archipelago. - ENTRE FAUVES: Adapted from the best-seller by Colin Niel, an ecological thriller that travels from the Aspe Valley in the Pyrenees to northwestern Namibia, and reaches key topics such as hunting, protection of biodiversity, the place of the wild versus that of man in an increasingly connected world. - NIGHT SHIFT: Filippo Meneghetti's second long-awaited film, a social drama that borrows the codes of genre film to the promise of an original and socially committed film; the film will confirm the talent of the Italian director who won a César and was short-listed for an Oscar for Two of Us (Deux). - FILLES DU CIEL: debut film of Belgian female director Bérangère McNeese (Magritte 2020 for Best Short Film for Matriochkas), that explores the topics of sorority, maternity, and the way to adulthood with a singular tone. Following the story of four colorful characters, Filles du Ciel is a feminist and a generational film. |
