Description

Description

The EU-DRAW project aims at promoting didactic, study, knowledge, research on the themes of the European Citizenships, the rights and duties connected to it, as well as on the common rights and values, and on effective actions to assure democracy and the rule of law within the EU, including the EU external action (and the role of the EU becoming even more complex in consideration of the current Russia-Ukraine conflict). To this aim, the JM team is composed of well-established scholars (including 2 Junior) from the University of Salerno, and from other Universities (IT, ESP, POL) in order to deliver a range of activities and events open to students, academia, civil society, policy-makers, and the general public. Didactic activities include 1 Undergraduate Course (36h, 40 students/year) targeting students of Law, as well as students of Political Sciences, International Relations, and Economics, in order to enrich their curricula with EU studies, and 1 Hybrid Training Lecture Series (20h, 35 students/year) targeting Ph.D. students, young researchers, and early-stage professionals, allowing the simultaneous in-class and online participation, in order to broaden the audience to students from foreign countries/universities. The students will work to deliver students’ papers in English and they will be involved in other research (EU-DRAW Hub) and educational initiatives (i.e. the DRAW EUROPE! Webcast Series targeting post-millenials, with the aim to increase the sense of European citizenship based on understanding and respect for common values, such as human rights, democracy, and the rule of law). Two events (the Online Italian-Polish Joint Workshop “Democracy-rule of law crisis: the fundamental rights affected” and the Hybrid Final Conference) will be open to civil society and the general public. The Project is upheld by a robust internet-based dissemination and communication plan. The outputs include scientific articles and a collective volume.
