Description
Description | This proposed three-year program, “Democracy, Inclusion, Voter Engagement” (DIVE), aims to strengthen citizen election observation, monitoring the implementation of electoral recommendations, promoting civic education, and deterring Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI). DIVE combines yearly baseline studies, capacity-building events, and advocacy campaigns to align these efforts with EU values and fundamental rights. Through strategic subcontracting, European Exchange (EA) will engage local partner organizations in 14 EU Member States with 16 partners to implement data-driven methods and ensure equal representation for women, youth, and minorities in electoral processes. By the DIVE’s conclusion, we aim to develop targeted policy recommendations for legislative reforms, widely adopted and recognized observer guidelines, and training modules for the engagement of underrepresented groups, addressing the call’s priority on citizens’ engagement and democratic resilience in Europe. In line with the objectives of this call to strengthen the protection and promotion of Union values, we apply as a civil society organization under Priority 8, to foster active participation in democratic processes. |
