The Foundation International Communications Hub (Comms Hub) promotes awareness of rights outlined in EU Treaties and relevant international conventions. It empowers pro-democracy and social justice movements through data-driven communication strategies, research, and digital tools to strengthen democracy against authoritarianism, intolerance, and polarization. Comms Hub produces research-based narrative insights to help movements become more effective communicators, enabling Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to engage EU citizens in democratic debate on a larger scale. In 2026, it will track narratives in France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and at the EU level providing insight briefs and policy recommendations to promote democratic standards, combat authoritarian narratives, and fight disinformation. Our target groups include pro-democracy civil society in EU countries, EU-level CSOs, the EU citizens they engage, as well as policymakers, media, and the public. Comms Hub operates three workstreams: Digital research and social insight; Public opinion research; Ideation and strategy spaces. These workstreams enhance critical thinking, media literacy, and the capacity of CSOs to engage millions of Europeans in democratic discourse. Our 2026 work is part of our three-year Democratic Pulse Tracking program. In 2026, we will generate 18 reports from our country-level digital research, 5 country briefs from our public opinion research, 20 Insights Presentations, including 1 transnational and 1 EU level Insights Presentation, with policy recommendations from across all research areas. We will also produce a Narrative Impact Report 2026. We will engage with 300 CSO members, host 15 ideation spaces for civil society and develop practical tools and templates for CSOs’ strategic communications to engage EU citizens. Our goal for 2026 is to reach over 16 million EU citizens.
