Democratic Republic of Congo - Education Sector Support Project

The Education Sector Support Project was conceived in a post-conflict context, following the crisis in the DRC, which severely affected the education sector. It's part of a process of rebuilding the Congolese education system based on a 10-year national plan (1999-2008) drawn up by the Government. The project should contribute to establishing the institutional conditions necessary for more efficient planning of the education system and improvement of education and training in relation to the country's development needs. The project has 4 components, namely: 1) support for the preparation of sector reforms; 2) establishment of an education management information system; 3) building institutional planning, training and pedagogic management capacities, and 4) project management.
