Democratic Republic of Congo - Statistics and Public Finance Institutional Support Project (PAI-STATFIN)

The statistics and public finance institutional support project (PAI-STATFIN) is designed because the statistical production infrastructure is obsolete or virtually non-existent and statistical production needs to be urgently revived. In addition, it's essential for the country to address the challenges which are undermining economic and financial governance at the central level in general and in the provinces, in particular. By building the institutional capacity of Directorate General of Administrative, State Lands, Judicial, and Participation Revenue (DGRAD), PAI-STATFIN should directly contribute to the mobilization of domestic resources and an increase in DGRAD’s contribution to the national budget. The total project cost including taxes and customs duties is estimated at UA 10.96 million comprising UA 7.092 million in foreign exchange (64.71%) and UA 3.86759 million in local currency (35.29%). The project is broken down into the following three components: (i) statistics support (ii) public finance support and (iii) project management and coordination.
