Description | Denali - The Alaska Gas Pipeline LLC, jointly owned by BP and ConocoPhillips, is developing a massive natural gas pipeline expected to carry 4 billion cubic feet of natural gas daily to markets in Canada and the Lower 48. The project involves early data collection along a proposed pipeline route following the Alaska Highway and the old Haines pipeline path, including hydrology studies, cultural artifact digs, environmental monitoring, and mapping. The goal is to prepare for a successful open season by 2010 with a more accurate cost estimate and to eventually obtain a FERC permit for construction. |
