Deployment of Autonomous Cab-less Electric Trucks between Ohio Warehouses

An Ohio-based logistics company, EASE Logistics, is partnering with autonomous truck technology company Einride to deploy autonomous, cab-less electric trucks to deliver cargo between warehouse locations in Marysville, Ohio. The project involves operating two highly automated trucks on EASE property and local public roads as part of a proof-of-concept service to generate data on impacts to warehousing, distribution, and transportation operations. The deployment is part of the Ohio Department of Transportation’s DriveOhio’s Truck Automation Corridor Project to evaluate the impact of autonomous technology on operations, safety, and freight efficiency.
