Description | The main objective of this project is to implement a network of publicly accessible recharging pools for heavy-duty electric vehicles to allow electric charging along the TEN-T road network in Germany and France. The objective will be achieved with the deployment of 21 charging pools (sites) dedicated to Heavy-Duty Vehicles (HDV) across 2 countries, equipped with a total of 150 charging points, with a power capacity of at least 1MW each. The charging pools, available in open access 24/7 for users will be located up to 3 km driving distance from the nearest road exit belonging to the TEN-T network and will be deployed as indicated below: ― 138 recharging points within 20 sites in Germany ― 12 recharging points within 1 site in France The project aims at contributing to decarbonizing transport along the TEN-T road network by establishing the environment for the transportation of goods by electric trucks in Europe. |
