Description

Description

The deployment of the Digital Commons - European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (DC-EDIC) is an initiative aiming at establishing a robust and collaborative digital infrastructure across Europe to support communities in their development and consolidation of digital commons. Besides the EDIC itself, the project involves ministries agencies that are key members of the EDIC: DINUM, ZENDIS, STA, and MINBZK. The EDIC will be the coordinator and main actor of the project. Ministries agencies will provide guidance and support to the EDIC’s team. The project is structured into four distinct work packages, each focusing on a specific aspect of EDIC deployment. Work Package 1 (WP1) deals with the coordination and communication and dissemination of the overall project. Work Package 2 (WP2) focuses on communities engagement and support, through events, information, advocacy tools and support, provided through a one-stop-shop. Work Package 3 (WP3) will allow guiding the EIC and communities within the frame of the EuroStack to be implemented, to better leverage digital commons for the EU sovereignty. Finally, Work Package 4 (WP4) is dedicated to the implementation of challenges that will result in highly needed digital commons.
