Derry Street Bridge Rehabilitation

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation plans to reconstruct the Derry Street bridge over Spring Creek in Swatara Township and Paxtang Borough. The project includes replacing bridge beams, the bridge deck, repairing the northeast wing wall, and rehabilitating the abutments. The bridge will be reconstructed in stages while maintaining two-way traffic, with trucks detoured due to narrow lanes. Full closure is expected for up to six weekends during beam replacement. The project may be done in two or three stages depending on coordination with other projects.
