Description

Description

The proposed project involves design and construction of a new 1,000,000 Imperial Gallons (4,546 cubic meters) glass-fused-to-steel tank to increase the biosolids storage capacity at the Hanover waste water treatment plant from 750,000 imperial gallons (3,410 cubic meters) to 1,750,000 imperial gallons (7,956 cubic meters). The addition of a new biosolids tank at the waste water treatment plant will provide 240 days of onsite storage as recommended by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) and mitigate potential environmental risks associated with using temporary biosolids storage at the waste water treatment plant. Also, with increased biosolids storage capacity at the waste water treatment plant, the Town will be able to proceed with development of 500 ha (hectares) of lands within our municipal boundary and servicing area.
