Design and Construction of Graham Creek Stormwater Measures

The existing creek low flow channel armouring has failed since installed in the early 1980’s. The resulting toe erosion has caused the erosion of property and increased sedimentation. This project will rehabilitate the existing armoured sections and introduce additional armouring within the reach to protect property. Channel armouring is required to address the overall lack of stormwater rate and volume controls currently within the Graham Creek subwatershed. At this time, in-stream works are required to protect private property from erosion and slope stability issues that are directly related to uncontrolled stormwater conveyance. Rehabilitation measures proposed include rip-rap, gabion baskets as well as additional plantings, and will be fleshed out during detailed design.
