Description

Description

Three large diameter sewers meet at a T-intersection (Milner Downs at Bridgestone). New manholes at this intersection are needed to improve the storm sewer hydraulics. The neighbourhood of Bridlewood has experienced basement flooding several times in the past 20 years. Through studies several pipe sections were identified as requiring upsizing to reduce the risk of flooding. On Palimino and Chickasaw streets 805 metres of 2100 mm storm trunk sewer will be upsized to 3000 mm. At Milner Downs and Bridgestone 20 metres of 1200 mm storm sewer will be reconfigured to minimize hydraulic losses to lower sewer surcharge.
