Design and Construction of the Craig Henry Neighborhood Flood Protection Improvements Including Re-profiling and Storm Pipe Upsizing

This project is to complete the design and the construction of various pipe upgrades and reprofiling of depressed driveways to protect homes from flooding. The Craig Henry neighbourhood area has experienced basement flood several times in the recent past. Through studies, various measures have been identified to mitigate the risk of flooding. These measures include reprofiling driveways (14) to protect homes from flooding via surface drainage. Several sections of storm pipe require upsizing including along Knoxdale Road (375 metres of 1050 mm storm sewer upsized to 1350 mm), along Woodfield-Lansfield-Kidgrove Gardens the sections of storm sewers requiring upsizing include: 310 metres of 750 mm sewer resized to 1200 mm, 90 metres of 900 mm storm sewer resized to 1200 mm and 160 metres of 1050 mm storm sewer resized to 1200mm.
