Design and Construction of the McGee Liftstation Replacement

This project is for the design and construction of a replacement sewage liftstation for the existing McGee Liftstation. The existing liftstation is undersized for the current drainage area and has reached the end of its useful life with multiple systems that have or are at risk of failure. The existing building design is poorly laid out and does not meet several current regulations or requirements. An assessment has determined that a replacement is more cost effective that a full liftstation renovation. This project is a necessary first step to address several area sanitary sewer related issues. Incrementality is evidenced as the project cannot proceed due to budget limitations and without Federal/Provincial funding. Incrementality is further evidenced as this project (Liftstation) is the first step in a larger area infrastructure renewal requirement (Draper liftstation, Draper to Dominion gravity sewer, Dominion to Christink Lane gravity sewer, Christink Lane to liftstation gravity sewer, Christie to liftstation gravity sewer).
