Design needed for the separation of the drinking water and the sewer line as the water line is crossing the sewer line. (phase 1 of 2)

During a study in 2016, it was found that a drinking water line was crossing through the sanitary sewer system. The water line must be separated from the sewer line, which requires an engineered redesign to ensure applicable standards are met and hydraulic integrity of the distribution system is not adversely affected. (Phase 1 of 2, Phase 2 will be the physical separation of the watermain from the sewer main and is further described in next project.) Objective: To create a design to separate the water and sewage piping which presently intersect as identified in the Closed-circuit television inspections. This design must consider the required separation required between sanitary sewers and municipal water system pipe. Scope: Procure Engineering Consultant. Consultant to design an alternate watermain route that meets requirements and can be used to perform or tender construction in Phase 2. Output: Engineered drawing that clearly describe details required by constructors, including but not limited to material, required depths of each utility, backfill required, surfacing required, and any details of use to the contractor.
