Description
Description | The design of the Master´s Program in Sustainable Urban Mobility, between European and Latin American universities, has as its main objective to shape the basis of a transnational, joint master´s program that crosses the axes: environmental, social and economic, with the fields of non-motorized and active mobility, public transport, the discouragement of the use of private cars, urban planning centred on proximity and liveability, and the fulfilment of mobility needs of the disadvantaged population. The program will deal with macro, meso and micro scale, and from a theoretical, practical and methodological approach. The program will contribute to two of the priorities of the Erasmus Program: inclusion and diversity, and environment and fight against climate change. Four specific objectives will be fulfilled, each one will end up with a result and output: 1) To diagnose the research groups and higher education institutions (HEIs) of the consortium. (Output: diagnosis report). 2) To design the program from the academic perspective. (Output: study plan). 3) To design the program from the operational, administrative and financial perspective. (Output: report, budget, timetable, drafts of agreements). 4) To communicate, disseminate and promote the program (Output: communication plan). The principal strength of the design measure lies on the universities´ alliance. Each one of the HEIs will contribute with topics related to sustainable mobility and urban planning: Universidad del Azuay (Ecuador), Universidad de Granada (Spain), Technical University of Munich (Germany), and Universidad Alberto Hurtado (Chile). Three groups will be positively impacted: participating universities, professors and lecturers; future students; and associated partners such as municipalities or public institutions. The positive impact arises principally from the interchange between faculty with different areas of expertise and backgrounds; and from student´s international physical mobility. |
