Design of Joint Masters' Architecture

The general Objective of HYBRIDIM is to design the architecture for a joint Master’s programme in 3 universities of the Baltic states that can be delivered later by a consortium of HEIs. Mykolas Romeris University (MRU) and the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences (EASS) are currently implementing Erasmus+ funded project HYBRIDC. It has two main objectives: to develop an international, 1-year 60 ECTS Master level curriculum and study materials; and to carry out scientific research in the area of hybrid threats supporting thus the development of EQF level 7 curriculum and study materials. HYBRIDC does not cover activities related to the accreditation of the joint Master’s programme. The main objective of HYBRIDIM is to create all necessary preconditions for the delivery of this Master’s programme by 3 Baltic states’ HEIs. The Consortium Partner MRU is not allowed to deliver Master’s courses corresponding to 60 ECTS. Therefore, HYBRIDIM will upgrade HYBRIDC curriculum from 60 ECTS to 90 and involve Riga Stradins University establishing thus a new partnership among HEI-s in 3 Baltic states. HYBRIDIM’s objectives involve all activities that enable the launch of the first cohort of the joint international Master’s course in September 2026. Studies will be carried out in all 3 Baltic states. HYBRIDIM will foster thus excellence and internationalisation of higher education institutions via the preparation of all requested preconditions for further implementation of the Master’s level study programme. HYBRIDIM will have 11 outputs, the most important one is upgraded and nationally endorsed EQF level 7 joint curriculum Tackling Hybrid Threats in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, as well as the procedures for the students and academic staff members. The total number of beneficiaries in academic institutions under HYBRIDIM project is 50. Further implementation of the Master’s course on Tackling Hybrid Threats will end up with 250 direct beneficiaries.
