Description

Description

For many years, National Statistical Institutes have been working to integrate statistical and geospatial data within a Common Statistical Geospatial Framework. The DETECT research projects builds on these efforts by linking statistical and geospatial data to support evidence-based policymaking: * WP1 (Safety): Integrates official crash statistics with geospatial data to uncover crash patterns not visible through statistics alone, using geodatabases and advanced spatial analysis techniques. * WP2 (Solar): Builds on 2023-AT-GEOS results to explore the use of pre-trained neural networks for automatic so-lar panel detection from orthophotos. * WP3 (Accessibility): Updates and maintains spatial accessibility indicators of public infrastructure in Austria, fo-cusing on motorised transport and walking, with a special emphasis on older people. * WP4 (Project Coordination & Dissemination): Management of internal project activities and dissemination to promote project results.
