Description
Description | Agnico Eagle Mines is investing $14 billion over five years in Ontario to expand existing operations and advance two major development projects: the Detour Lake Underground project and the Upper Beaver project. The Detour Lake project involves expanding production beneath the existing open-pit gold mine to extend its life to 2054 and increase annual gold production to over one million ounces. The Upper Beaver project aims to redevelop a historic mine into a new underground and open-pit gold and copper operation, expected to operate for 14 years producing about 210,000 ounces of gold and 3,600 tonnes of copper annually. |
