"German-Hungarian Partnership Dialogue -DUPD- on the occasion of the visit in 2023 the Hungarian partner community Urkut in Oberpleichfeld as a project: ""Europe, that's us together, in history and in the present"" is one of the most important issues for promoting a sense of belonging to Europe, by promoting a debate on the future of Europe. Linked to this idea, the two partnership associations in Oberpleichfeld and in Urkut would like to offer their citizens the opportunity to feel encouraged by a well-prepared supporting program, to exchange ideas in order to be able to help shape our future together. During the further preparation of the project, the 2nd forum “Democracy in Europe, Values and Rights, Rule of Law, Security” was selected, in particular on issues relating to fundamental rights and fundamental values, the rule of law and combating all forms of discrimination. Here the greatest agreement was found with the interests of the target groups. The project supports the following objectives of the call: - Promotion of exchanges between citizens from different countries - Strengthening of mutual understanding and friendship between the European citizens. - Promote cooperation between municipalities and the exchange of best practices procedure In addition, considerations of the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local communities were included, since mutual visits could not take place in 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic. Planned meetings had to be canceled despite preliminary planning, video conferences that took place mainly focused only on the respective pandemic situation. Therefore, new impetus should now be brought into the mutual relationship through the project described below. From 26.05. - 29.05.2022 Oberpleichfeld citizens are visiting the Hungarian partner community Urkut. The return visit of the Hungarians to Oberpleichfeld is scheduled for 2023. This return visit is planned as a ""Project German-Hungarian Partnership Dialogue"" as explained."
