Developing Energy Efficiency Financing Program

This TA aims to reduce energy intensity and greenhouse gas emissions by increasing readiness for project investment in energy efficiency for financing. The TA will focus on developing a sustainable financing program and increasing the technical capacity among government entities, local banks, and private companies to develop a project pipeline for financing. It will also involve developing new business models to leverage private sector participation and financing for energy efficiency projects. The TA aligns with the National Energy Policy and Strategies of Sri Lanka, which aim to ensure energy security through sustainable, reliable, and economically feasible energy supply. It is also in line with the country partnership strategy, including decarbonization and renewable energy development.
