Description

Description

DYPALL Network- Associação para o Desenvolvimento da Participação Cidadã is the NGO responsible for supporting the implementation of the Developing Youth Participation at Local Level (DYPALL) Network European Initiative. Nowadays, the NGO is accountable for coordinating a European-wide network, gathering over 80 organizations and local authorities that cooperate to improve and develop further the quality of youth participation in decision-making at the local level. Our work plan (WP) for 2025 focuses on making available not only a wide range of capacity-building activities but also to produce and disseminate knowledge on youth participation and democracy. Our Work Plan concrete objectives are aligned with the European Youth Strategy and the specific call priorities. Our annual activities plan will allow the network to implement a comprehensive capacity-building programme for our members. At the same time, that will increase our organizations' impact and contributions to European youth policy development. In 2025 we will be able to implement over 15 international activities, reaching directly over 750 youth workers, youth leaders and decision maker on the youth field. The activities are particularly focusing on encouraging young people to participate on the democratic processes and encourage the debate and reflection on the European values that build our European societies. Our activities are contributing to bridge the gap between young people and our democratic institutions from the local to the European level. And we believe they are important to build trust in the system that can only be achieved if young people feel that they are part of it. Therefore, developing knowledge and capacity to design meaningful instruments and spaces where young people can participate in the decision-making processes is a fundamental step. This year, we will also increase our capacity to produce and disseminate knowledge and be present in relevant European policy cooperation spaces.
