The objective is to strengthen the evidence base for the IDB's education portfolio in priority thematic areas. The specific objectives are to: (i) conduct systematic evidence mapping and desk-study reviews of global and regional education policies and interventions in five thematic areas, including interventions that involve digital education technologies, education infrastructure, literacy, continuous educational trajectories, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); and (ii) develop an Economic Analysis Toolkit to address identified deficiencies in efficiency analyses at project closure by providing standardized methodologies and guidance to assess the cost-effectiveness of educational interventions.
