Description

Description

With this slate application we present three of our in-development projects: the dramedy mini series MISS SURVIVOR coproduced by Les Films du Poisson (FR) and July August (IL), the arthouse feature PARADISE_BLEEDING coproduced by Freibeuter Film (AT) and JBA Productions (FR) a and our first children’s film COMAPAPA in coproduction with Viking Film (NL) and Garage Film (SE). Given their diversity in terms of themes, formats and genres, their originality and relevance, the slate promises thriving international exploitation on a wide range of traditional and new platforms. The successful development of these projects up to production and exploitation will further strengthen NiKo Film’s position on the international market as a dynamic independent production company, with a strong focus on diverse, female driven and green storytelling. We will both pursue our cooperations with experienced partners and expand our reach through new collaborations with influential distributors, including platforms and co-producers. The series will allow us to work with a higher budget and profit from the far-reaching distribution channels of the series market. The feature film expands our experience in producing outstanding arthouse cinema by stepping into the genre market. The children’s film will give us the opportunity to explore a new vivid market. We will establish partnerships with production companies in several new territories (e.g. Israel, Austria, and Sweden). The three projects will be beneficial to at least four female writers and/or directors, our company’s team of 5 women expands by at least one further employee, and a great number of creatives who will be engaged throughout the development process. Expected outputs of the development include packaging of the projects e.g. final scripts, updated creative team and cast, budgets and production schedules, marketing campaigns and the confirmation of national and international funds and financiers.
