Objectives Overall: Contribute to promotion & protection of the rights of VoC in ES, GR, IT, BG & CY Specific: - Contribute to effective application of EU law on rights of VoC, esp. Directive 2012/29/EU in ES, GR, IT, BG & CY - Identify the strengths (good practices) & weaknesses of the Spanish Generic Victim Support Services (GVSS) - Develop model & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for GVSS, adaptable to different national contexts, to be implemented in GR, IT, BG & CY, which have yet to establish GVSS as required by Art. 8 of Dir. 2012/29 - Promote cooperation between authorities & organisations coming into contact with VoC to support implementation of the model & SOPs for GVSS & ensure comprehensive protection of VoC Activities WP1 Management and coordination WP2 Analysis of national legal frameworks on the rights of VoC & its application WP3 Analysis of Spanish GVSS & Development of SOPs for provision of GVSS to VoC WP4 Facilitating cooperation between authorities & organisations coming into contact with victims WP5 Dissemination & awareness raising Persons directly benefiting from project Min. 20 representatives/country of national/regional/local authorities that provide support to victims/are officially mandated to protect rights of VoC Min. 20 representatives/country of law enforcement & criminal just. authorities & legal practitioners Min. 20 representatives/country of CSOs-service providers Expected results - Improved Spanish GVSS, by ensuring that they meet the needs of VoC, especially the most vulnerable populations such as victims of hate crimes and discrimination - Improved knowledge on implementing GVSS in GR, IT, BG & CY of authorities that provide support services to victims/persons in need or are officially mandated to protect rights of VoC, Law enforcement & criminal just. authorities & legal practitioners & CSOs-service providers that will enable them to protect rights of VoC more comprehensively - Enhanced cooperation between competent authorities & organisations coming into contact with VoC to support implementation of model & SOPs - Strengthened application of EU criminal law (Art. 8 of Dir. 2012/29) & increased awareness of stakeholders on transposition of the Dir. in ES, GR, IT, BG & CY Outputs Analytical: evaluation of legislation/policy (4); policy recommendations (4); collection of good practices (1); development of common methodologies (1); development of guidelines/manuals (13) Exchange of good practices, cooperation: 1 study visit ES; 8 workshops (GR, IT, BG, CY) Awareness-raising: 10.000 leaflets, 6 banners; 8 Infodays; Social media (3); Website (EN, GR, IT, BG, ES); Conference
