Description

Description

Barbadel is a single-player science-fiction action-strategy mobile and desktop game that challenges the player to create their own Digital Twin AI and teach it with their own tactics to quest after means of survival in a barren estranged planet. The applicant is an independent game developer and the creator of the mobile historical tank 3D simulation game Archaic: Tank Warfare. The project will support him to develop a more ambitious next title, Barbadel, with bigger scope, target audience and market that also includes desktop devices and expand his business contracting an additional developer. The first objective is to create a playable prototype of the game for mobile devices running the Android OS and desktop computers running MS Windows in the timeframe of 1.5 years. The game will be portable to Linux OS and handheld devices such as Steam Deck. The second objective is to define a financing and marketing strategy with the goal of reaching 1 million users globally and at least 100,000 euros of revenue within 2 years of the game’s release. The planned activities include the creative and technical development of the game as well as the design of the financial and marketing strategy. Detailed narrative, art, including visuals and sounds, and gameplay will be designed. The 3D Graphics, Physics simulation and Deep Learning algorithms required for the Digital Twin AI will be developed entirely in-house, using the commercially and technically proven Archaic game engine, implemented by the applicant for his current title. The expected outputs are the installers of the playable prototype for Android and Windows OS, the detailed game design document, the detailed financial and marketing strategy document and a video teaser of the game. The project will result in creating a game that exploits proven cutting-edge Deep Learning techniques to create a fun and creative gameplay experience with big reach potential, especially in the highly popular mobile market.
