Development of Budapest station

In the framework of the Külker Rowing Club, the development of the Budapest station of the Bratislava-Budapest water touring route was realized. Reconstruction of the main and auxiliary buildings of the station and of the boat store was completed; a fitness room, locker rooms, a boat repair workshop and a landing stage were built as new facilities. Premises were equipped with new fittings and equipment; the yard and the garden was also managed to be rearranged. Two coxed open boats with four pairs of paddles, three coxed touring boats with two pairs of paddles and a boat carrier trailer were bought. The Club organized a rowing tour in the summer of 2007; experiences therefrom were used for producing a water tour guide in Hungarian, Slovakian, German and English. The Club also developed its webpage to provide comprehensive information on water tour programs.
