Development of cooperation of the Volunteer Firefighters from Szypliszki and Kazlu Ruda communities.

The project objective is to increase level of security through increased cross-border cooperation in the fight against common threats and emergency situations and to increase the accessibility of high quality public services in the area of PL and LT borderland through improvement of skills and abilities of emergency services. Activities include demonstrations and trainings, also exchange of experience and good practices and equipping with necessary for rescue operations equipment as well. The project will benefit from knowledge, skills and many years of experience of PL partners which will contribute to development of emerging rescue system focused on firefighters volunteers in LT. The partners in project are Szypliszki community (PL) and Kazlu Ruda community (LT). The beneficiaries of the project will be rescue units and firefighters / volunteers from Kaletnik and Szypliszki in PL (both included in National Rescue and Firefighting System) and 2 fire service units from Jankai and Bagotoji (LT) who will gain equipment and competences. The target groups benefiting from the project – borderland residents, tourists and travelling people, they will have better protection and assistance in emergency situations as a result of improved equipment and competencies of firefighters. Output indicators: no of institutions involved in cross-border cooperation – 2, no of participants in the joint training and demodays – 160, no of purchased equipment-16.
