Development of Eight Water Bodies in Delhi Ridge

Eight water bodies will be developed in Delhi's central and southern ridge areas to improve groundwater recharge, conserve soil moisture, support wildlife, and strengthen the ridge ecosystem. The project involves rejuvenating existing water bodies, harnessing drainage and stormwater runoff, cleaning natural depressions, increasing their depth, and creating natural drainage channels to divert excess rainwater. The restored water bodies will also support native vegetation regeneration and help address waterlogging issues.
