Information Airport Authority of India [AAI] has come up with Development of New Greenfield Airport at Bundi, Kota Rajasthan. with a ticket size of 1507 INR Crores. This project in Airports & Aviation Infrastructure sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Kota Airport belongs to the AAI. The total land area of Kota Airport is around 400 Acres. The existing runway 08-26 has a dimension of 1220 m x 38m. The Runway is suitable for code B type of Aircraft DO-228. The existing terminal building has an area of 400 sqm. can handle 50 passengers at peak hour. The apron has a capacity of parking 02 nos. of D0-228 type of aircraft. Considering very limited scope for development of existing airport due to all around urbanization and consistent demand for air travel from and to Kota, State Govt. has identified suitable land for development of Greenfield airport for A-321 type of aircraft near District Bundi approximately 16 kilometers from the existing airport in Kota, situated along the Kota-Deoli National Highway NH-52. Accordingly, the State Govt. has already handed over the required land measuring 440.646 Hectare for the Development of Greenfield Airport. The proposed airport project is Greenfield Airport, planned for operations of A321-200.
