Description | Information Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Assam has come up with Development of Pragjyotishpur Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati, Assam with a ticket size of 1000 INR Crores. This project in Medical Infrastructure sub-sector involves The current status of the project is DPR/Feasibility Study in Progress and is being developed through the PPP route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project With the development of medical college and hospital in the state, adequate social infrastructure will be provided to youth to study in their own state and will give access to basic medical services and quality health care to the local community. Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Assam envisages for the Development of Pragjyotishpur Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati, Assam with an Estimated Project cos of INR 1000 Crs. The proposed Pragjyotishpur Medical College will be stationed in two campuses, one at the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital or MMCH in city's Panbazar area and the other at Kalapahar. The facility at Panbazar in the MMCH premises will have 800 beds besides 100 Intensive Care Units |
