Project „Development of tourism infrastructure in Ohrady and Erdőkürt“ is outcome of the several years cooperation of partners Ohrady and Erdőkürt, which have signed an agreement on partnership and cooperation in 2015. The main objective of the proje ct is to contribute to economic competitiveness of rural regions of municipalities Ohrady and Erdőkürt by increasing the attractiveness of both villages and supporting the cross-border tourism development. We will contribute to the increased interest of the tourists in visiting these regions, which will directly affect the economy of both regions, through creation of suitable conditions, such as building and reconstruction of elements of tourist interest in public spaces, improvement of the gene ral appearance of the villages, through identification of the potential for tourism development and initiation of cooperation between the actors in tourism in region and complex aimed propagation of villages as tourism destinations with concrete offe rs of tourism services. Investment activities, which are in accordance with ecology requirements, will be accordingly complemented by soft activities, such as mapping of tourism potential in both regions and preparation of concrete packages with tou rism services taking into consideration the existing natural and cultural heritage and related marketing activities. Beside the main activities, we aim to increase awareness of natural and cultural heritage in the cross-border region, which will be r eflected in the future preservation of natural and cultural heritage for next generations.
