Information Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Karnataka has come up with Development of Yadgir District Stadium under PPP framework with a ticket size of 32 INR Crores. This project in Sports Infrastructure sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Idea Stage and is being developed through the PPP route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka is desirous of developing Yadgir district stadium in Karnataka. The Department aims to provide opportunities and facilities to the youth, participating sports persons of state/national and provide adequate sports facilities in various districts in Karnataka. The aim is to develop this Stadium under PPP route. Developers will be invited to Develop the Stadium. To boost the attractiveness of this project, the selected developers will also be given a part land on which they will be able to develop Sports allied infrastructure and operate them for a period of 30 years. The developers will be able to earn revenue from such assets, thus making the overall project, i.e. the stadium and sports allied infrastructure, more financially attractive to them.
