Description | The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has developed a concentrated solar power (CSP) project as part of the fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. This project has a capacity of 700 megawatts (MW) and has been recognized by Guinness World Records as the highest capacity single-operator concentrated solar power plant in the world. The fourth phase of the solar park integrates three hybrid technologies: 600MW from a CSP parabolic basin complex, 100MW from a CSP central tower, and 250MW from photovoltaic solar panels. The project also holds records for the tallest concentrated solar power tower and the largest thermal energy storage capacity using molten salt-based CSP technology. |
