Description | The Dewey-Burdock project is a proposed uranium in situ recovery project near Dewey in Fall River County. It would impact about 240 acres of public land within a larger 10,580-acre area. The project includes building access roads, four groundwater monitoring wells, and an overhead power line, with an initial disturbance of about four acres. The project has previously received a supplemental environmental impact statement and a license from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 2014. The Bureau of Land Management is currently completing an environmental assessment and seeking public comments on the proposal. |
