Description | The Industrial Equipment Fund (DFC) Project is designed to help to reduce some of Mexico's most pressing problems: the balance of payments deficit, industrial inefficiency, and the lack of long-term industrial finance discussed above. The project's main objectives are to promote industrial efficiency and expand industrial capacity by providing long-term loans based on strict project appraisal to a wide range of medium-size enterprises with growth and export potential. In accordance with its objective of promoting industrial investment with a positive influence on the balance of payments, FONEI would finance: (a) export projects, (b) import substitution projects and (c) feasibility studies for such projects. |
